“I heard from my agent that Newcastle wanted to sell me. I said, ‘Fine, if they want to sell me, then I’m good with that,’” Minteh told the Brighton & Hove Albion website. “I know other clubs are interested, so if I don’t stay here, it’s an opportunity to play for another team. I wasn’t upset or anything.
“All I was doing in the Netherlands (on loan at Feyenoord) was trying to prove I could play in the Premier League, because that’s all I want.
“It doesn’t matter if it’s Newcastle, Bournemouth, or Brighton. After landing in Brighton, I’ve fallen in love with the club. I’m happy here and I’m settled now.
“I don’t have any beef with Newcastle. That’s just how football works. You go to a team, you think you’re there for life, but another team comes along and wants you, so you move on.”
