"Yep, it was a tough nut to crack, but we knew what we were up against," Gundogan said post-match. "Everton's a notoriously tough ground, and they play a physical, long-ball game. We had to play smart, especially in the first half, but we came out swinging in the second and sealed the deal in style."
"We've had our share of stumbles this season, no doubt," Gundogan conceded. "But since the international break in March, we've been playing like a well-oiled machine. Our fans, management, and even the boss can feel it. When we're on our game, we're unstoppable."
"We're not ready to let up now. We've got our eyes on the top four, and we're not backing down," he added.
Gundogan Hails Doku's Timely Impact
Gundogan was also quick to praise newcomer Jeremy Doku, who's been fighting to find his form after a rough spell. "In a league as cutthroat as the Premier League, having players who can make an impact off the bench is crucial," Gundogan said. "Savinho did well in the second half, and when he came off, Doku stepped up to the plate. He's strong on the ball, creates space for others, and has the quality we need."
"Everyone's been stepping up since the break, and we're determined to keep this momentum going until the end of the season. We've got our sights set on the Champions League, and we're not going to let anything stand in our way."
