The purchase option allows Spurs to buy Cardoso for €25 million (approximately £21 million) in the next transfer window. However, the player has the final say in where he wants to join, should he decide to leave his current club.
According to reports, United manager Ruben Amorim is looking to build his squad and sees Cardoso as a potential addition. Atletico Madrid are also said to be interested in the player, who has performed well for Real Betis this season, scoring four goals and providing one assist in 42 games across all competitions.
