"I know I didn't get either job, but it was still a huge opportunity," Frank said. He recalled walking through Battersea Park between the two interviews, thinking to himself, "Is this really happening to me, Thomas Frank from Frederiksvaerk?"
Manchester United eventually appointed Ruben Amorim as their new manager, while Chelsea chose Enzo Maresca to replace Mauricio Pochettino, who had a short tenure at the club.
At the time, Frank was managing Brentford, a team he helped promote to the Premier League in 2021. Today, he is in charge of Tottenham, leading the team in their pursuit of European football.
Frank has had a successful stint at Tottenham, winning eight of his 18 matches in charge so far this season.
